At present, the common processing methods in the manufacturing industry have shifted from traditional contact processing to laser non-contact processing. In the field of laser processing, laser welding machines have obvious advantages such as high efficiency, small welds, and small light spots, and are highly favored by customers and increasingly widely used. However, the accompanying malfunctions will also arise accordingly.
In order to make the laser welding machine operate better, reduce the number of failures, and improve work efficiency, we need to understand the issues that need to be paid attention to during its operation and the methods for handling them. This article mainly introduces common troubleshooting methods for laser welding machines.
1. The laser welding machine cracks during the welding process.
① If the flow rate of protective gas is too high, it can be solved by reducing the flow rate of protective gas.
② The cooling speed of the workpiece is too fast, and the temperature of the cooling water on the fixture should be adjusted to increase the water temperature.
③ The workpiece has not been cleaned, and in this case, it needs to be cleaned again.
④ If the clearance between the workpieces is too large or there are burrs, the machining accuracy of the workpieces should be improved.
2. The laser welding machine has insufficient welding depth.
① If the laser energy is insufficient, it can be solved by increasing the pulse width and current.
② The defocus amount of the focusing mirror is incorrect, and it needs to be adjusted to a position close to the in focus position (but without splashing).
3. The laser welding machine reduces the laser beam during welding.
① If the cooling water is contaminated or not replaced for a long time, the problem can be solved by replacing the cooling water and cleaning the UV filter glass tube and xenon lamp.
② If the focusing lens or resonant cavity membrane of the laser is damaged or contaminated, it should be replaced or cleaned in a timely manner.
③ There is a laser deflection problem in the main optical path, and it is necessary to adjust the total reflection and semi reflection apertures of the main optical path, and use image paper to check and circularize the light spot.
④ The laser is not output from the center of the copper nozzle below the focusing head. The 45 degree reflective aperture can be adjusted to output the laser from the center of the nozzle.
